The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation donated tickets for HOC residents and staff to watch the Royals play at Kauffman Stadium this season! Our guys had no idea we’d be spending our last free day before summer school at the ball park. We shared stories, laughs, and delicious funnel cakes as we cheered for our team.
“It was great to see the guys interacting with one another,” Ms. Kandace mentioned. “I always enjoy the moments when I can connect with them outside of work hours. It was my first time going to a baseball game. I’m happy to have this memory with them.”
“It was exciting seeing the home runs. I haven’t been to a baseball game since I was a kid. I had a really good time.” A 19 year old resident shared. “When do we get to come back again? I wish we could stay there all day.”
We can’t wait for the next game!
