We go all out for the holidays — gifts, stockings, a holiday meal, and the family traditions — for every boy in the house. For a lot of them, it's been a long time since the holidays felt like this. $500 fills one stocking.

Our story

“She gave up her own house to start HOC. We've been continuing her work for fourteen years.”

House of Compassion was founded by Erika Peterson on May 5, 2012, in a home she literally gave up to make it possible. Fourteen years later, we hold a CARF accreditation, a DSS license in continuous standing, and a reputation as one of the best placements in the area.

Funding the texture of a real childhood.

Our clinical work is what earns the CARF accreditation. Donations fund everything else — the experiences that turn sixteen beds into one home. A few examples below.
